Bethel University New Sophomore Residence Hall

Role: The LaSalle Group is owner representative for Bethel University for the design and construction of a new 288-bed, four-story residence hall located on its Arden Hills, Minnesota campus. LaSalle Group assisted Bethel University in the selection of the design and construction teams and provided pre-construction services including design plan review, establishment of an overall project budget, financing reporting formats, and extensive value engineering input. LaSalle Group also assisted in obtaining zoning and watershed approvals and permits. Our construction period responsibilities include coordinating the weekly or bi-weekly meetings of the architect and contractor, generally observing construction to assure its adherence to plans and project schedule, review of all construction draws, field orders and change orders, and reporting monthly to Bethel University concerning budget and schedule issues. LaSalle’s ongoing construction and post-construction period responsibilities are to monitor all construction close-out activities, including commissioning and punch list compilation and completion and to insure smooth transition from construction completion to student occupancy in the fall of 2005.
